Arcade games at I-am-bored

There are over 100 arcade games at I-am-bored

The whole site is built around the presumption that people will type ‘I am bored’ into search engines when they have nothing better to do.

The concept is basically the only original thing about the site, which in all other respects is completely unremarkable.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group, Twitter, forum, multiplayer options or chat room? We found out..

Facebook, Twitter, RSS feed and regular email bulletin. This site has a social networking presence which will appeal to many.

How good are the game graphics? This grades the quality of the CGI graphics and animation of the games feature on the site..

The site has a white background with colorful screenshots of the Kids games. There are no moving graphics at all which gives it a bit of a dated feel.

The internet games themselves have varying quality of graphics but, on the whole, seem in line with the competition.

OK, how fun is this site? Are there games on offer? Does it do stupid things to photos? Run stupid competitions? We gave extra points for craziness..

There are lots of games on i-am-bored but the categories are very general. It also lacks player rankings or viewing figures which would be a helpful feature and may tempt visitors to try games out.

i-am-bored has online games for different levels and themes that should be of interest to a broad group of gamers. However… the broad categories and lack of choice under some headings make identifying exactly what you’re looking for that bit harder.

Most gamers want instant gratification so the fun factor here is nothing special.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support and telephone contacts available to users..

There is a comprehensive FAQ section plus an email support form which only offers a response within 72 hours. Since this site is aimed at those who are bored and want something to do now, I am not sure how the ethos of the helpdesk staff fits in with the site’s overall ethos!

Can you trust this site? This grades the site's suitability for children. Does it give parental advice? Does it link to unsuitable sites? Does it lead to download viruses?.

There are no chat rooms on this site and the lack of social interaction and selective advertizing policy makes it a worry-free zone for parents.

What can you play on here? We graded the variety of games, genres, multiplayer games and lots more..

There are varying numbers of games under each category. The ‘Arcade’ section has over a hundred games whereas the ‘Sports’ section has a measly 9.

There are many kids websites with hundreds more games on than this one, that are better organized and easier to use.

This site seems generally lackluster and is lagging behind the competition.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with real-time betting, video, HD, mobile and audio..

This site is decidedly low tech. Multimedia? Not even a sniff of them.
