The software protects your kids online safety as follows:
•    Net Nanny filters and blocks web content, full sites as well as programs (such as games).
•    It notifies parents instantaneously if an attempted breach has taken place.
•    Blocked sites can be over-ridden with a password, should an exception to the norm be needed; making this system flexible to use.
•    The system comes preset with age-based profiles and is ready to use but parents also have the facility to customize the settings.  
•    Net Nanny monitors Instant Messaging and in terms of social networking, it provides detailed reports on profiles, friends’ lists and more.
•    The software officiates time limits on computer usage.
Parental monitoring can be undertaken remotely, anywhere in the world.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
You have to click on to Net Nanny in the top menu bar to get product information for this specific kids safety software. There is a good range of information on the product but we disliked the way we had to scroll down to find it all. It needs organizing better for ease of searching and viewing.

How good are the descriptions of the products on this site? Does it use easy to follow language or complex computer jargon? We evaluated the descriptions displayed..
The home page is a little crowded and visually confusing but the Net Nanny product page fares much better.Generally the features were explained well but we did spot the odd bit of jargon, such as ‘FTP’ and ‘secure proxy and encrypted Web sites’.
